The Israeli carrier Zim achieved a Q2/2015 ebitda of USD 74 million, compared to USD 23 million for the same period in 2014. Q2/2015 net profit was USD 23 million (Q2/2014: USD 50 million net loss). The figures are not based on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), although Zim has published this information as well.
The company carried 577,000 teu in the period under review, 6% less compared to Q2/2014. As a result of lower container volumes and freight rates, total revenues in Q2/2015 were USD 763 million (Q2/2014: USD 875 million). The average freight rate per teu was USD 1,150 in Q2/2015, 5% lower than in Q2/2014.
