The logistics division of South Africa-based Imperial Holdings presented the results of its 2014/2015 business year which ended on 30 June 2015. Earnings before interest and taxes (ebit) rose by almost 2% from EUR 69 million to EUR 70 million, while the turnover increased by 1% from EUR 1.37 billion to EUR 1.39 billion.
CEO Carsten Taucke stressed that the strategy of streamlining the corporate structure will continue. The logistics division contributed 15% of the holding's operating profits.
The overall Imperial Holdings group finished the business year with a turnover amounting to an equivalent of EUR 8.15 billion, 7% higher than in the previous year. Ebit grew by 1% to EUR 460 million. The logistics sector forms the central pillar of the South African group’s business, as that sector generates 39% of Imperial Holdings' sales.
