Henrique Wohltmann is taking over the management of Hansa Meyer Transport as planned, when the realignment and strategy programmes, headed by the former managing director Jürn Schmidt, are completed. The change is taking place on 1 September 2015.
Wohltmann, a freight forwarding and project logistics specialist, became part of the management team of Hansa Meyer in July 2014. Over the next few years, the company's objective is to push its presence in the transport and project logistics field, with local operations based at the most strategic venues of the world.
To raise its global profile, the former firm Hego Partner Holding was renamed Hansa Meyer Global Holding at the beginning of the year. The core competences were pooled to the subsidiaries in Bremen and Dusseldorf (both Germany).
Schmidt was chairman of the advisory board from 2004 to 2011, and managing director since then. Jorg Knehe will continue to manage Hansa Meyer Global as the sole managing shareholder.
